We purchased a steering rack from Detroit Axle thru Amazon. A 5-year warranty was advertised in Amazon's listing. We sent back the old steering rack per Detroit Axles' directions. Never heard anything about the warranty. Called Detroit Axle about the paperwork on the warranty. They sounded shocked. There is no warranty paperwork. Nothing in writing??? They said you just call us and give us your order number and we will honor your 5 year warranty. I am very skeptical about this and think Amazon should force Detroit axle to provide a written warranty.
