IAT sensor fit in but would not stay in. The detent was not sharp nor large enough to catch properly. I’m not sure why the customer must also be the quality control inspector.

Not only did this part give inaccurate readings but wouldn't seal properly which caused a vacuume leak. Do yourself a favor and get a genuine BMW part. Not an oem either, genuine only
