This product is a beast. I had a yard that had a lot of over growth that my Dewalt weed trimmer didn't work. This product just mowed down those weed like a champ.

I have not experienced the issues noted by other reviewers. This brush cutter attachment raised the level of my 60 volt Dewalt trimmer to that of a serious brush cutting machine! The included blade made easy work of heavy brush and saplings up to almost an inch. The only downside I noticed was the head got warm after extended use, but we’ll see how it holds up over time. Decent value for money if you already have the trimmer head, batteries and don’t want to buy a separate designated brush cutter.

Like many said, the blade is dull on arrival. Didn't bother to sharpen it before taking it out for a test.Using a 60v 9ah battery in a DEWALT DCST972X1 String Trimmer power head, I cut through small trees, grass, and thorns for about 1/2 hr test run. Battery did not run out while clearing, so I don't know how long the max clearing time will be. Cut through 1/2 inch trees with the dull blade. Does send pieces flying when it cuts, so recommend you wear some ppe. Overall, very happy with this. I wish DeWalt offered a trimmer with this attachment instead of having to buy a string trimmer and then buy this attachment.

It's so much easier and quicker to swap the lower leg of the trimmer than to break out a wrench and swap cutting tools. I installed a Husqvarna blade and removed the guard (at my own risk) because it works so much better than the blade that comes with this tool. The added bonus is the Husqvarna blade will also cut grass if you happen to run out of trimmer line. Not as well but in a pinch you can finish a job rather than take the time to find more line if you're close to being done.

Dull short blade useless for cutting even thin woody material such as blackberry.No doubt the lawyers got involved with this so they wanted a blade that wouldn't hurt anybody.Of course that also means it doesn't cut anything.If you sharpen it on a grinder or find a different blade it can work better.

Excellent cutter and with quick connect very easy to switch between attachments. 4-blade did come without an edge(not sharp) but still knocked down brush without issues. There’s lots of bad reviews out there about this product having cutting issues, but if these people have used a actual gas clearing saw or brush cutter before, half of the cutting is in the “slashing†motion, I had zero issues cutting down anything up to 1†in diameter. Nice to be able to quickly switch between trimming and knocking down larger brush without having to gear up for the big gas clearing saw.

My husband bought this to use in the wood next to our house. It works extremely well. Does the job that we bought it for? I recommend.
