We needed a new bench grinder with wire brushes to clean up rusty tools. This grinder was heavy duty enough to do the job. It does not bog down when under pressure. It has safety features to help prevent accidents and is easy to operate. The design is such that it worked well in cleaning all sorts of wrenches and other hand tools. Compared to another grinder we had, this one works better.

I purchased this bench grinder on July 7, 2016 after going to many stores to physically examine the various bench grinder choices and also searching the internet reviews and decided on this Dewalt DW758. I made a very good decision. This is a very well made machine. There was no run out (wheel wobble) to speak of when I powered it up. It started smoothly with very very little vibration and low noise . I have used it to sharpen two sets of lawn mower blades so far and it performed excellent. It is powerful with not even a hint of stalling. The tool rest are better than the ones in the stores that I checked out and work great. I mounted it on a four leg bench grinder stand that I purchased from Harbor Freight and it fit perfect. I have many more projects line up and feel confident this machine will handle them with ease. I am very satisfied with the Dewalt DW758 and do not hesitate to recommend it. My experience is 5 STAR .

The grinder arrived quickly and as others have noted, It vibrated badly when turned on. I took the wheels off and it ran smooth as silk. The problem was mostly in one wheel so I put the other back on and waited for the new wheels to arrive. (This is OK to me. I didn't want the standard wheels anyway.) It is much improved with new stones. One is slightly off, I will see if I can true it up, but it is very usable.It is a good grinder, but the stock wheels are only marginal.

Great grinder! Obviously there is more heavy duty options out there but the power you get for 150$ ya cant beat it ! I had a 6 inch harbor freight toy and upgraded to this and wow! You can bog it down but you have to want to! No complaints I have the fine wheel and a wire wheel spinning, no issues with vibration. Tool rests flex a bit but not horribly, it’s not a fine tune intricate tool it’s a grinder so not really a deal breaker. Can’t comment on the shields bc they aren’t being used lol. Seriously if ur gonna rely on the shield and not wear safety specs whatever. Their your eyes and ya only get two!!
