This is not a strong tap. It broke off in my first hole which was in aluminum. I would not expect it to break in such a soft metal.

Great taps , but pre drill the hole so the tap doesn't hit your hole fast when your drill goes through or you will snap it. Add oil also

It drilled surprisingly poorly. But, it was cool for the one hole it lasted. Broke on the 2nd hole while trying to tap. Maybe it doesn't work on copper?

These things work absolutely awesome. Ive done uhmw on 3 river boats now, using these and they speed things up immensely. And they last a long time too. Worth every penny

These drill with taps are fantastic, save so much time. I used these in a difficult place to reach with a tap handle and was so happy with the result. I was using them in aluminum which is easier to tap, but I believe they would perform well in mild steel as well. I am a machinist by trade.

I had purchased an off brand set of these in the past. BUT the DeWalt Brand is much better quality, it worked great for my use. Cheaper than buying the drill and tap separately too.
