Works as described. Heats up very quickly, nice high stand to keep the hot tip away from the countertop. Standard size glue sticks feed nicely and smoothly in the gluegun.

I've used other glue guns in the past and, when my most recent one died, decided to get a Dewalt, which was a wonderful decision. It gets super hot and works better than the other glue guns. It doesn't have a light to tell you that it's on and it takes a long time to cool down, so you have to be careful to unplug it and set it somewhere safe, but it really works great.

Upgraded to DeWalt because others failed me! Holds a lot of glue. Great for big jobs.

The smallish profile of this glue gun makes it easy-to-use and manipulate around projects. It heats up very quickly and doesn't leak hot glue while sitting idle. Durable construction and materials.

Reviewers who complained of this gun not advancing glue should be aware that getting hot glue into the rear feeding mechanism will prevent the roller inside the rear tube from coming up and advancing the glue stick. That happened to the refurbished gun I purchased here on amazon's marketplace because the previous owner had pulled a hot glue stick out the back causing melted glue to drip down into the feed mechanism. It was easy enough for me to fix by removing the melted glue.I bought this dewalt glue gun to replace an exact duplicate I had purchased elsewhere and accidentally plugged into 220vac... I like the fact that this model heats up very quickly -- about twice to four times as fast as my other two glue guns.The refurbished model I purchased on Amazon's market place did not work correctly when received: the previous owner had gotten glue into the feeding mechanism, causing the feeding mechanism not to work correctly. I had to dig out the melted glue. After the quick repair job, the gun worked perfectly -- heating glue sticks in just seconds.Some pros compared to other brand/models of glue guns:- This gun heats up very quickly, significantly faster than the other guns I've tried;- Very lightweight compared to other "professional" guns I've used;- Very reliable and smooth (feeding) mechanism compared to cheaper (sub-$20) models I've used and owned.The only thing I would wish for in a glue gun: maybe a longer power cord. I have a battery operated glue gun that doesn't work very well on battery power, so I am hesitant to wish for a portable glue gun.

I don't like sowing and this made joining material easy. Our laundry basket busted a couple of threads and tore so the bags would hang I had sown a couple and they look awful. I used this today to test it and it works wonderfully. Looks good and it heats up pretty quickly. Baskets are all hanging where they should be now wish I had bought sooner. I might even do a few projects with it. Oh the possibilities!

Bought this on UK site but it was delivered from US. Had a US plug and when I checked the electrical sticker only worked on120v so would have blown if I plugged it in. Should not be possible to get this situation as it is potentially dangerous

Excelente pistola de silicón , calienta muy rápido y no detiene el flujo del silicón , puedes usar toda una barra continua sin que esta se batalle para presionar. para ser profesional solo le faltarÃa la regulación de temperatura , una contra es que recién conectada a la corriente, gotea un poco , pero ya que se detiene no lo vuelve a hacer. la recomiendo ampliamente.

They failed to state the working voltage of 120 volts which would require a transformer to work in the UK.
