This coat has served me well in 2-1/2 years of cold season comfort and inner warmth. I tell EVERYONE about this coat. Sales jump in my neck of the woods from word of mouth. 95% of the time the coat is warm without turning on the heat.

There are a few things to understand about these kinds of jackets. Their intent is not to bake you, the intent is to neutralize the freezing feeling of your core from the elements. The hottest temp is warm and cozy, but does get too warm when its not extremely cold outside. You will also lower it from Red to Blue or Green if you are walking as your body temp will go up. The button on your chest is a great idea. The battery charges easily and reasonably fast. Anyone who complains is a whiner. I bought this as a warmer for my motorcycle rides as the wind chill can get to you. So far on trail walks its proven its value and it warms the arms to boot! If you want one, this is the one to get. Sizing is normal though I sized up.

Battery at a full charge won’t last 7-8 hours being on. Hubby wears at work outside and it didn’t last but does keep him warm when it is on. Going to see about getting a spare battery.

So as i sit here in 9 degrees weather, mind you 20 ft in a treestand with a mild wind, i figured this would be a great time for a review.I have owned this jacket with hoodie for 2 seasons. Other than the batteries being expensive,i haveto rate this jacket all of a 4.5 star.Early season when 38 to lets say 45 all i use is polypropylene expedition weight long sleeve,then a thin camo turtle neck over that. Then the heated jacket. I keep it on low and life is good.If it get a bit colder then I will include my thin wool sweater into the conversation.Now when its 9 out and eve zero f. I use the poly, the thin turtleneck then the jacket on low, but the kicker is then i put my insulated parka over the electric jacket. I leave it on low and i am aok. Along with my electric socks I am cozy for 3 to 4 hours.I keep 2.extra battery's in case.Quality seems very well made. Good zippers, and the hoodie i was thinking of not getting, but that would have been a mistake.I did take off a lot of the velcro stuff , flag . Some of it is very noisy and no need for a hunter.Anyways thats about it. So far so very good.

Jacket is very warm even without the heat on, then when you need the heat it gets nice and hot right away.

Originally I posted this was the second one of these I bought only because the first one was stolen, and how wonderful it is and the quality. But then my main zipper fell off for no reason. Sending it back and having a new one shipped will update soon

Gets very warm and hot. Keeps you warm when it is freezing outside. I bought an extra battery that way I can have one and charge the other one.

Bought this in green for my grandfather. He hunts, ice fishes and has hard winters so this was perfect for him. Very well made and functions as expected. The picture shows an American flag badge but when it was sent it was sent with a Canadian flag badge which is perfect! There has been a non stop snow storm in sault ste marie and he's been wearing it while shoveling and blowing snow. He says it keeps him nice and warm and he still has yet to recharge the battery. The fit is as described and is true to size. This was a great price and the perfect gift! Very happy with this purchase!

So disappointed I was really hoping this heated jacket would actually heat. I wore it for 45 minutes on high heat mostly in a Plus 70 degree office and barely noticed any heat at all This is either broken or totally not a heated jacket.

So far I love everything about cynics jacket, it fits well, I can definitely feel the warmth, it would be great if you could incorporate a windproof layer.
