I have several of these countdown timers. I love them. However, on this brand timer the hours listed were OPPOSITE to all the other timers I have (not this brand). I could not risk having one timer where one push functioned for 8 hours instead of for one hour like all the others, so I have to return this one buy one matching all my others.

I am using this product in an outlet attached to a electric heated that I run in the basement while walking on treadmill. This prevents the heater from running if I forget to turn it off . If I did it could run for days. It works exactly as described and is very easy to use.

The timer itself works fine, but it only cuts off. It does not turn anything on like my Christmas tree, which is why I purchased it. It's my fault for reading description carefully. I don't have a clue what I am going to be able to use this for, but I'm keeping it. It is easy to use and I like the front plug. The other one I purchased is a side plug and of course it's on the wrong side of where I need to put it. I'll try again. Just know what you're purchasing.

This little outlet timer works well. It does what it claims to do, and nothing more.If you are looking for a programmable timer, keep looking. If you want a simple-to-use count DOWN timer, this one is great. It ONLY counts down a specified amount of hours, and then will turn OFF. This "DEWENWILS Indoor Countdown Timer Outlet" will ONLY turn off, never ON, and it is a one off timer; you must set the countdown again the next time you want to use it. This is not a bad thing, just know what you are getting. I have found it VERY WELL suited to use with electronic devices that don't have an auto shut off, things I don't want fully charged, or for anything that I don't want connected to power for extended times. I have also used it with some cordless tool chargers that WILL turn themselves off, but that I either don't trust, or just want the power cut off after a set amount of time. Since you can also cycle through the 1, 2, 4, and 8 hour options to Always On, it is also well suited to just leave in an outlet all the time if you wish (as long as you don't use anything above it's rating in it) Overall, this thing is simple to use and works quite well for what it does. The only real issue I have is that there are only the 5 settings, and you can't program anything between those times, like, say, 3 Hours.Seems well made, and I have had no issues with it. It is my personal opinion that it could be a little cheaper for being so limited/it should have more options for the $13 price tag. Still, not a bad deal Yes, I would probably recommend this, but understand it's limitations.OH! One other big BENEFIT to this devices is that they made it to plug into an outlet with enough room that YOU CAN STILL USE THE OTHER PLUG. Many devices fail in this regard, but they got it right with this one!

This timer is very handy to have when charging a rechargeable item that shouldn’t be over charged.

With all the talk about lithium batteries catching fire while charging, you probably can't be too cautious when doing so. I don't believe that the batteries used to power hand tools are much of a problem, but I take precautions in any case. Typically you can charge most of these batteries in less than 4 hours with a decent charger, so I plug my charger into this DEWENWILS off delay timer and just push the button 3 times to set it to 4 hours, after which it automatically turns off. With all the safety features built into both the battery and charger, this is probably overkill, but it give me added piece of mine knowing that the power is turned off while I am sleeping. I use this device for other applications as well. I have a foot warmer pad under my computer desk to keep my feet warm in the winter and I use this device to make sure it gets turned off at the end of the day. I can think of a number of other applications where being able to control the time that something turns off would be advantageous and would suggest that this device would be handy to have on hand for when that need arises.

I like the timer but don't like that it doesn't automatically come back on.

I have a pair of shoe dryers that stay on until you unplug them and I needed a timer to get them to turn off automatically (lest I forget) and this timer does that job easily and perfectly. I love that the timer provides 5 options -- from 1, 2, 4, 5, 8 hours and continuous hold -- so that I can set the timer to the level of wetness in my shoes.I don't have any indoor plants at the moment but it just occurred to me that this timer would be perfect for timed plant lighting. I'll bet, as time goes on, I'll find other uses for this nifty, easy to use and inexpensive timer so I'm glad I got it. In fact, I just thought of another use: I like to fall asleep with the lamp set to warm night light and if I plug the lamp into this this timer I can set it to go off automatically after an hour so that I can save on my electric bill.

Pretty simple. They work well. I like that the first press is 1 hour, not "hold" like my older one from the hardware store.

Bought so I can put my various tool battery chargers on a timer. Plugged a power bar into this, into the wall, and all the chargers into the power bar. Quick button press to activate the timer, now no more worries about battery fires etc. Simple.

Just what I needed to let me run my M18 battery charger and have it turn off by itself so it doesn't overcharge.
