This item was a replacement for a (not very old) one that didn’t work. The only glitch was one of the wires was soldered so it took extra effort to get the wires to stay in

My fireplace has been intermittently working for the last couple years. I didn't use it all summer long and when I tried to use it to get warm, it refused to light. I checked everything and couldn't get the pilot light to come back on and there was no manual pilot ignition on my fireplace.I bought this control module in the hopes that it was just something this simple... sure enough, it was. I was able to swap over the units 1 wire at a time and as soon as I was done, the fireplace came back to life. Saved me a $200 service call and waiting more than 2 months for the local shop to get to me.!

Our fireplace has been slowing losing the ability to reliably light to where I eventually opened it up to clean the ignitor to no avail. I put a meter to the sparker output of the control module and it wasn't putting out much power and what it did put it was all over the place so I ordered this module which was the same as I had before other than the new one has a "rev b" sticker on it.The replacement took less than 5 minutes to swap and the fireplace is now good as new.

I have a wall outlet to start my fireplace and recently when I hit the switch, the fireplace would not fire up. Could no longer hear the clicking of the ignition. The Service tech fee was going to be $180 just to come out and inspect + the cost of the marked up part prices or like most victims, the service tech will say that you need the whole fireplace replaced which could cost you thousands. I took the advice of the other hundred + reviews on here and bought this module and very happy I did. Easy plug in and FIRE! Took less time to change it out than making a ham sandwich or waiting for dial up internet back in the 90's. Now I'm hungry and need that samich!

The control module was delivered in a timely matter and it was a matter of a quick installation and everything worked perfect again. And the price was almost half of what the local supplier was going to charge me.

Fireplace wouldn't come on, others with the same problem recommended changing this module.Now works, but have had it go out a couple times. Expect I'll have to replace it again in a few years.
