We use these to make sandwich’s for funeral. They work great and are very sturdy.

Expensive but happy with this because it's everything it should be:1) It's made in the U.S., which means the stainless steel is more likely to be pure stainless steel and not alloyed with lead, for example.2) Much easier to spread hummus on toast than with a table knife, as should be the case.3) The serrated edge cuts quite well, better than my serrated knife. For example, it cuts right through over-ripe grape tomatoes without squishing them.

When I got this, I immediately wondered how I had ever gotten by without one for so long. However, I wish I had heeded the other reviews that said that it rusts. It does rust quickly, albeit slightly. If you don't dry the blade thoroughly, it will develop these tiny little brown spots that, under a magnifier, were confirmed to be rust and not food particles. I can polish the rust out with metal polish, but I'd really hoped this would be a tool we could leave in the sink or drying rack. As it is, I have to hand-dry it immediately after washing it.Also, probably related to the rusting, it seems to pick up hard water spots or dishwashing machine spots very easily.

This spreader is large enough for deep containers, feels good in the hand, and is dishwasher safe!

The spreader does everything: spreads, scoops and cuts with its serrated edge long tip.
