The book came a little damaged on the edges of the spine however i believe it adds to the "hidden in plain sight" aspect of the book. The combination lock comes with instructions on how to change the code and the fireproof bag is really heavy duty and seems legit. It is about the size of a school textbook (maybe smaller) but is about two inches thick. Otherwise, it is a beautiful book and will work perfectly for anyone trying to hide something in plain sight, especially for the price. I would say it would be extremely valuable for a lot of people.

Our key fob battery needed replacing every six months and we were told that it might be because it is connecting with the car even though its in our house. They suggested we find some way to put it in a safe or some other area further away. We decided to buy this book safe to keep my husbands wallet and all of our keys out of sight in something that looked attractive in hopes that it will extend the length of our battery. The first safe we bought was too small but this one was perfect! It holds our four sets of keys, my husbands wallet and anything else we need to hide. I also like that it looks nice and neat now on the counter.

If you pay attention to the dimensions, you know that this book safe is for a limited number of items. I put our "hurricane" cash in the fireproof envelope, a necklace in its original box, and a ring which I placed in a sock, because the ring box did not fit. I think this was a good purchase because I can access these things quickly, but they are not just laying in a drawer for anyone to find. Any documents you place inside would have to be folded.

I like this book safe very much. It is exactly as described and serves a great purpose. I keep it in my bookcase and it blends in with thr other books. It is the perfect place to store cash, jewelry, etc. I highly recommend it.

This is a great little security idea. Looks like a dictionary on the outside and keeps our daily deposit under lock during transportation. It would not keep someone from getting into it if they are determined but it will hide the fact that there is cash being transported or stored. Besides that it is a little cloke and dagger!

I was hoping this book safe would look more like a book but the page edges give it away. They look like plastic instead of paper so it stands out as being fake. It will still work for my intended use but I'm not sure I would use it just on a shelf unless you had other real books around it to hide the square binder shape and fake paper edges. The fire resistand storage bags are worth the bundle price.
