It is an inexpensive die stock that I thought I needed for a tiny little die I had just bought via Amazon.It is as everyone has described, it is not particularly well finished, the threads are poor at best.Does it work? Damn straight it works. I didn’t strip any of the screws, the die fit and it held it rigid enough for me to cut threads.For me, it was well worth what it cost, including how quickly I received it.All this said, yesterday I was walking out of my machine shop and what do I see but an “antique†die stock! Yep, once again, I buy something and shortly thereafter I find I need a new one!This one will live in a box of special tooling and the “antique†die stock will go into my regular machining toolbox!

paired this with the proper die and repaired the threads on my atv crank. well priced and came fast

This handle seems to be fairly well constructed. The housing walls are .200 thick and the overall width is .850. The handle lugs are .740 thick x .900 wide and about .920 long. The head is made of a non-ferrous metal alloy.The steel handle bars are .468 diameter and extend 6.625 from the threaded lug. The threads are a little loose, but tighten up OK and are useable. The die retaining screws are steel.My only complaint is the die fit - I had to scrape paint off of the inside of the head to get my 45mm die to fit inside.Overall, at this price, I'm happy with it and would buy from this vendor again.

Does the job. Be sure to keep an eye on how coplanar the actual die is with the bolt head, because the die I have does not sit level so the handles look tilted when the die is correctly oriented.
