Produces a nice bright light. I'm pretty happy with how it's built and the design. Perfect for emergencies, camping or a nice cozy atmosphere. Mine doesn't leak at all keep in mind you shouldn't really fill it all the way up. The filler cap has a gasket which is nice. Would buy again

This is my 3rd Dietz in less than a week all 3 have no leaks provided you fill to manufacture instructions all 3 were different models, either I am extremely lucky or they just build a good product and yea made in china blah blah if you don't know everything is made in china by now I don't know what to say to that ,sure you get a dud here and there but over all good for purpose intended.

The manufacturer in China made sure that the pieces fit together before assembly.

I have not had these lamps for very long. They are rusting and the gold finish is also rusting. Now waht one would expect for this price

Very nice looking lantern. Works great and throws allot of light because of the 7/8" wick. Make sure you give it a burn in / break in period of 4 hours outside before you use it in the house to get rid of the manufacturing smells etc...

I am a long-time hobby collector of oil lamps and lanterns. I use them all for camping, power outages and enjoyment. I purchased the Dietz #80 Blizzard recently for outside use at my cabin in the Big Bend area of Texas. It is now my favorite lantern, burning Firefly Clean Lamp Oil. I only have 4 complaints1: The globe had a small crack right out of the package which may have been due to the lack of packaging material 2: The tabs on the burner would not stay locked into the notches on the fount 3: The globe lifter arm locks into the up-detent so positively that it is hard to lower the globe without the risk of breaking it.(Before I adjusted the notches to hold the tabs securely, the lowering of the globe shifted the burner enough to put out the flame) 4: The filler cap threads are difficult to engage making securing the cap tricky without cross-threading.After tightening the notches and filing the point off of the detent, the lantern performs as expected and is the brightest oil lantern I own.I will buy another.

La lanterne est arrivée dans un piteux état. Elle coulait et la base était toute tordue. Le retour a couté presque aussi cher que la lanterne elle-même.
