We bought the thermometer back in 2022 and we are still using it today. It works wonderfully. We use it for everything. It's easy to read fast. The battery life is great and has a magnet on the back of it. Great value for the money. Highly recommend!

A very inexpensive instant read thermometer that gets the job done. I recently upgraded to a Thermopen instant read thermometer that is about $100. However, I used this thermometer for a few years before upgrading and to be honest, it's almost as good as the Thermopen. The main difference between this thermometer and the Thermopen: 1) Reads about 2-3 seconds slower, 2) Has buttons on the outside that could allow water into the electronics, 3) Digital Display can only be read in 1 direction. So, unless you need a thermometer to read within a second, or you regularly submerge your thermometer or read your thermometer vertical and horizontal, you don't need the $100 Thermopen. This is all you need and it is near perfect!

This is the 4th time I’ve purchased. One was a gift last Christmas, two for us this year, one for home one for the RV. Just got one as stocking stuffer for our son who hosted Thanksgiving this year and didn’t have an instant read thermometer to check the bird. This thermometer is accurate and so very easy to use. Turns off when you close it. Has a handy magnet on the back to stick to the grill, wipes clean. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed in this unit!

I have owned mine for 4 years now and absolutely love this kitchen tool. I just keep it in its original box in the back of one of our utensil drawers, and use it about once a month. What a value and a bargain-- best thing about this thermometer is that it is instant-on the moment you unfold the probe from the body, and instant-off the moment you retract it back into the body. No batteries dying on you because you forgot to turn it off, this is a great little piece of engineering! One last thing: the temp is extremely accurate and the second you unfold the probe it is sampling the air temperature. This thing is quick and zoned in on any temp you want to measure. Love this thermometer.

This was the second one I got of this thermometer. Unfortunately, the first one I got I accidentally left outside for a week after a grilling session and it got soaked in the rain. I would say that this product is not waterproof nor is it designed to be. It's quick, easy and accurate.

It works. I like that there is a battery already installed and a spare one in a separate package in the box.I calibrated it using the ice water method that they recommended on the package insert. It was only off by 2 or 3 degrees Celsius, and it was fairly easy to correct (although the buttons aren't intuitive, so I had to re-read the instructions to get the correct button to put it up or down a degree).I used it this weekend to make my yogurt - used to chill to 115 F before adding culture. It worked like a charm - the screen constantly refreshed as the milk chilled from 180 F to 115 F, and it was easy to clean off afterwards with a damp cloth.I like the loop on the handle for holding it in my thump while I used my other hand for whisking. Made it less likely to be dropped in my pot. I also like that there is a magnet inside of the unit's back, so I can stick it on my fridge for next time.Anyhow, just wanted to say it works, and I hope it continues to work.
