I took a chance that I might be able to find a configuration of the antenna cable sensor wire to use on my 6 cylinder 2-stroke outboard for diagnostic timing adjustment.Of course I tested it on a one cylinder gas powered weed eater work great.However my ultimate use was on the six cylinder and thought I'd give this device a try - knowing logically this wasn't going to work.Idol was reporting about 4,800 RPM, so for those who wanted to experiment like me it's been done it won't work.

Pretty easy, just wrap a cord around your spark plug and run your engine. Done.Gave me results that I expected, though I really have no other way to measure and test it. No batteries needed, the vibrations and magnetic induction in your plug gives it all the power it needs.Great little tool to put in my tune up kit.
