This device shows you the temperature and the humidity in the house. It flashes from one reading to the other. There is a small pull out stand on the back so you can set it in a table or use the magnet to attach it to something metal. There is also a switch to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit. When you first get it, open up the back and put the battery in the right place to activate the readings. I am happy with my purchase and it was relatively inexpensive.

Wonderful item. It’s small enough so it does not take up much space, but big enough to read from a distance.I put in each room of the house, especially when I keep my heat low. Also gives me the humidity, which is great. Never found a better product.

I bought the two pack and I'm ordering a three pack. I found them reasonably accurate, using my Nexia-enabled Trane thermostat for comparison (whose accuracy was validated by the HVAC technician's expensive thermometer).It seems like every time I want to look at the thermometer, it is displaying the humidity level. Like others, I wish I had the option to set the frequency (versus 5 seconds), but my preference would be to always display the temperature and to let me press a button to display the humidity level.I found them sturdy and reasonably well-made. A single magnet on the back results in the thermometer wanting to spin so two magnets would be an improvement.I was disappointed that the battery died so quickly but I have plenty of button battery replacements in stock so it wasn't a big deal for me.So four stars given the above.UPDATE ON 03/02/19: I received the three pack (it seems like the reviews are separated between the 1, 2, and 3 packs) and one of the three thermometers was faulty. Amazon refunded me the $9.00 so I could order a single replacement. No change to rating only because Amazon stood behind the seller/product. See photo for the defect.

On the plus side, the displays agree on the temperature and the price per unit is certainly affordable. For me, the negative is the fact that the large numbers on the display switch between humidity (which I don't care about) and the temperature. So when you look at the display to determine the temperature you have to wait (about 5 seconds) for the display to show temperature. I don't recall the Amazon description mentioning that fact. If you are farther away the % and degree icon are small and hard to see. It the temp reading is close to the humidity, it's hard to determine which is being displayed.

The unit came on time. Great! Unboxed it, placed the battery in and started it up. There was NO INSTRUCTIOINS how to change it from Celsius to Fahrenheit degrees. JUNK!
