After target vacuum is set, press 'SAVE CAL’ to save and active monito mode, buzzer beeps periodic. When vacuum pressure reached set pressure,alert will be activated (screeflicker,buzzer beeps), press any key to quit alert or wait 35 seconds,alewill stop automatically.

Other than the aesthetics, this gauge has a problem. It leaks like a sieve.I tried everything: New hoses and fittings. I checked with a different gage, and that was when I realized the Gage was leaking.

This is a great alternative for a DIY guy. Not the best choice for say an HVAC contractor, it could be I suppose, but I used it once to vac down my AC at home after replacing an A coil. It did the job, monitors the internal vac pressure verifying a leak free system. Who knows maybe it would stand up to daily use, but for a tool I should only need once, you can't beat the price.
