I have a remote location so I cut off the wall wart and replaced it with a 12 VDC gelcell battery. The current draw is in the double digit mA so we will see how long it lasts. Pleased that the current was small! My app does not require a shut off either. Temperature gage appears accurate too.

The enclosed instructions so small print .. unreadable .. but did download jpg which I zoomed into.Usual Chinese mishmash of control buttons. Likely will get it working OK.. but at the price why worry.
