This basket seems like a nice dishwasher accessory to wash small things that usually fall through the dishwasher tines or the utensil basket. It's hard to wash chopsticks, tumbler lids, etc in the dishwasher when they are too small or too light then you find them later on the bottom of the washer or melted from touching the heating element. Sure, you can wash these by hand; but, when I saw this basket I wanted to give this a try.The basket arrived in good shape with no dents. I did have a difficult time getting it to open at first, you have tug a little hard to unsnap the one side. Hopefully that will resolve itself after multiple uses because you feel like you'll break a nail trying to pry it open (and I have short nails). Then I couldn't get it to close properly, the hinges weren't cooperating with me. I eventually got it closed but the hinges do feel a bit flimsy and perhaps one long hinge would be better. We'll have to see over time how well they hold.There is a section in my dishwasher where I can fit this between tines by laying it in on it's side; in fact, it's too wide to lay flat anywhere in my dishwasher (unless I remove the existing utensil basket) so I have no choice but to put it in sideways. This means that everything I put into the basket will bunch up and gather on the thin edge facing the bottom; therefore, I'll have to make sure not to put too much inside so everything has an equal chance of getting cleaned.All in all, I'm dubious that this will be worthwhile for me because it does take up a bit of space in the machine; and, if I have seriously limit how many items I can put into the basket, then I've used up a lot of space for very little return. If I could lay it flat then it's a different story and I'd be a really happy camper. So, you might want to check the measurements to fit your machine before you purchase - if you can lay it flat in your machine then I think you'll be satisfied with the product.
