When we had our house built we chose to have a Blanco SILGRANIT Kitchen Sink installed in our kitchen but wanted to have the sink strainer and disposal flange finish to be oil rubbed bronze to match our faucet and thought that we were saving money instead of having the more expensive Blanco disposal flange and sink strainer installed. That was a mistake! Within a couple of months the bronze finish was wearing off and they looked terrible. I was thinking that I could simply cover the existing ugly flanges with the Blanco plastic flange set that just snaps over the existing ones but saw the reviews of the flange sitting too high and not letting the water to drain completely out so after contacting Blanco about the correct sink strainer and disposal flange to use in my sink I decided to order them. I installed both in our Cafe Brown Blanco sink and it worked perfectly with the InSinkErator Evolution Excel disposal. It was a one for one changeout for both sides. The BLANCO 240321 Metal Basket Strainer, Café was what I installed in the other drain hole. The actual drain on this is PVC with a separate metal basket that is covering the PVC drain connection. I noticed that there were several negative reviews about the PVC drain coupling. My thoughts are that the rest of the drain system is PVC and there are no real loads to make it fail so I don't have an issue with it. The Disposal flange is made from stainless steel so it capable of withstanding holding the disposal without failing. I do agree that the price for the disposal flange and basket strainer are very expensive, about 2 times more than I originally paid for the two that I am replacing. I just hope that they last a long time.

Because of production delays it did take a while to get this, but the company stayed in contact with us the whole time and we were able to get updates frequently. That kind of support is unusual these days and we were very appreciative. The flange itself is exactly what we needed and we’re looking forward to getting it installed.

I purchased this stainless steel flange to replace a plastic one that matched my sink because the plastic one does not allow attachment of an Insinkerator - pathetic on the part of Blanco to sell a plastic one that does not work.

Tension ring will not hold due to powder coating on neck. Powder coating reduces the surface area required for a successful fir. Product needs to go back through engineering. They should vase not powder coated the bottom 1.5" of the flange.

Had it for 6 months and now broken. It seemed like really good quality,which i would expect for the price, but normal wear has caused this to fall apart in 6 months. Very, very disappointed based on the price point!!!!
