This was bought as used, but arrived is great shape, as if new, just for $9 less.We used it a lot when looking at, measuring a 2 acre cornfield that we thought we could build a house on.It does not like really tall plants or weeds in the way, but the large wheel helps with that.It is easy to reset the counter. When measuring a piece of land by a layperson to mark property pins, flags, lines, land features, swales, etc.. it's great. Not sure a pro surveyor would give up their lasers for this though. This might have been designed for shorter people. Depending on your height, if you are much over 5'9", you may have to crouch down a little when you use it.

Accuracy Not Always Good on rough ground - error factor for measurement of 80 feet off by 2 feet. Better 250 foot tape measure and it's even cheaper.

I used these a lot in the past, when I worked construction. When you need to measure out more than 30ft, this tool becomes a lifesaver. Anything under thirty feet, I would just use a tape measure personally. The build of this tool is fairly traditional and similar to most other brands on the market. This can be useful in many ways, and I have a ton of projects that this will help save time with. The mechanical display is easy to read but would be much better if it were somehow located closer to the handle for those that may not have the best eyesight. The accuracy is more dependent on your ability to use the tool precisely. The easy fold away makes it very simple and convenient to setup and stowaway. It feels pretty sturdy and doesn’t wobble as much as some of the older ones I have used like this in the past. This is a really solid tool that any homeowner should own, even if you don’t do your own home projects. Just being able to measure out your yard to make sure the neighbors aren’t creeping over their lot or just to know the true size of your own lot is beneficial.

This is great. There was an analogue model as well, but I do think I prefer this. I mean, no batteries or having to remember to turn it off. Simple and easy to read. I like it this way.Compared to other wheels I've used, this one is different because it has a little arrow in the middle of the back of the wheel that hangs down by gravity to point to the actual point of measurement. This one also has a funny fold up system that really works well. Just two little button presses to allow the unit to fold up in two different directions, which has it at its final state flat folded in the included bag.Odometer is just a press to reset type. Accuracy is great to my eye.Bag is thin and could be a little more robust, but I'm glad it comes with something at all.Overall, I love the wheel and am glad I can afford to have one in my own collection rather than having to check one out from work.

I really wanted to like this Distance Measuring Wheel, Prostormer 12.5" Foldable Rolling Measure Wheel in Feet with Kickstand and Carrying Bag, Measurement Up To 9999.9Ft. it is such a cool design, and has a kickstand so I can stand by itself. It comes with a screwdriver and a separate tape measurer, plus a carrying bag. All this is for $40, which I find is very reasonable. It opens up so that I don't have to bend over when I walk with it. I like that I am able to move it to a side when there is obstacle and it will continue to add up the measurements. Now, it only measures in feet with inches. That is a left button where you can tare it to zero, but it's not always back to all zeros. Sometimes you have to tare it a few times in order for it to be all zeros. Also, when I walk with it, I noticed that the numbers sometimes do not move at all. I wanted to measure the area for my new home edition, but this tool is not accurate enough to give me an exact number, just an estimate off by a few feet, which I find pretty significant.
