The 12 lb Quick Release (QR) Weight Pocket Set is a simple and streamlined system for ditchable weight. With a capacity up to 12 lbs this set is perfect for warm water divers or divers requiring less weight. Weight is secured in the pocket using a low-profile 1-inch quick release buckle and a hook-and-loop safety closure. If the diver needs to ditch weight in an emergency, it is quickly released with pull of the red tab. The 12 lb QR Weight Pocket Set can be added to any harness with 2-inch webbing, including our TransPac, TransPlate, Basic, and Deluxe harnesses. The pockets attach using two .75 webbing loops. A 2-inch stainless steel slide prevents the pocket from moving once secured. Pockets are sold as a set, 6 lbs each pocket.

I started diving steel backplate with steel tanks and the need for weights is far less with vest BCDs. I was only needing to carry a few pounds but higher on my back then where the waist pockets could provide. I installed this on the higher of the two CAM bands for my tank and carried 1lb in each side and it worked out fantastic for my trim. If you are needed a few pounds of weight that you want to distribute across your tank CAM bands these are for you. I would highly recommend them and Dive Rite gear has always been my go to. High quality products.

good pocket with belt holder so it doesn't move aroundthe pull tab is hard to pull but I guess if you're having to pull it you'd pull it hard.

Fit really well on my waist belt. Easy to install and fit six pounds of soft weights each.

I wanted bigger weight pockets than the ones I had and these worked great. The quick release is great and Im less worried about losing weights. The old ones just had velcro.

I am using these in the upside down configuration with a 6lb lead shot pouch. In short it is a tight fit, but it works exactly as intended.
