I built this nook (my first) as a gift. The directions were in clear and color, with a QR code giving an option to watch video instructions. The pieces were colored on both sides, easy to remove from the backing, and all tabs fit snugly into their proposed slots without being too difficult to set into place. The enclosed glue, tweezers, and sandpaper took the guesswork out of what would work best for this build and the stickers were all sized correctly and easy to apply. The electronics were easy to manipulate (I also took the liberty of labeling the instructions with each applicable color) and worked without needing to fidget with them or reset them.Overall this was a great build and fun to boot. Taking my time while watching TV I finished in about 4 hours. The recipient of this nook loves it.

I order from Amazon frequently (pretty much DAILY), but I only post reviews when a product is either exceptional or disappointing. Fortunately, this kit falls into the former category—it's outstanding!I’m no newbie to building things, I’ve built 6-ft long flying scale helicopters that have appeared on magazine covers. I thought, “A $40 dollar wood kit? How detailed could it be?â€I bought it anyway.I was pleased at the quality when I first opened it. It came with a decent set of tweezers, a tube of B-7000 adhesive, and a tiny emery board. “No matter,†I thought, “I’ve got nearly every modelling tool known to mankind.†It turns out—the ONLY additional item I used in assembly—was a TOOTHPICK. (It helps get all the little books aligned on the shelves.)Each book is a tiny block of wood, and they give you sheets of die-cut, self-adhesive stickers to wrap around them like slipcovers. Some of these covers are tiny reproductions of actual books, although you’ll only see the spines of 99% of them. The parts are obviously cut by laser, although I’m AMAZED at the precision. Most of the tabs have expansion slits that are thinner than a sheet of paper. The parts remain attached to the carrier boards by the tiniest of contacts, yet they stay firm until needed. They pop out with a thumbnail, and that’s where the little emery board comes in; to file off any ‘nubs.’ This does leave spots, and I found that the CHERRY marker from the “Rejuvenate EXACT MATCH Wood Furniture & Floor Repair Markers†set is almost a perfect match, and I touched them all up!The clear parts have a film that is so evenly applied, I initially thought they were simply matte. Peeling off the protective film, I was shocked at the clarity of the parts. This kit is first-class all of the way.One warning: While the instructions are clear, concise, and exact in EVERY way, there is almost NO text. The instructions come as a series of “Illustrated Parts Breakdowns,†the kind you see in service manuals, or online when you search for appliance parts. The manual is color—pay attention to the shading to make sure your parts are oriented properly. Remember, you can see only one side of them, the other side MAY be unfinished. The printing on the parts is also impressively done. Registration on all components was spot-on.I love this thing!

This was just a fun model from beginning to end. I love how it came with a little hammer and glue. Took me about 4 days to get it all completed. As you can see from the pics, this is a work of art. SO much detail from the books to all the little trim pieces and railings. Hardest part was getting the dinasour skeleton together without it falling apart. ha ha. I had to swap to superglue on that one. This is a MUST have puzzle the pics almost don't do it justice. It's so pretty.

This DIY Book Nook Kit has officially made me a miniature world enthusiast! The attention to detail is next-level. Every tiny piece, from the intricate shelves to the endless tiny books (around 200 of them!), makes this kit feel like a real labor of love. The sticker “paper†was a pleasant surprise — it’s actually sticker-based, making assembly way easier. While I do wish the instructions were a bit clearer, the extra supplies helped keep me on track. The one hitch? The clear laminate stickers meant to hold the lights didn’t quite do the job, but a few glue dots worked like magic.Yes, assembling those books individually was a time investment, but the finished look is mesmerizing. If you’re patient and up for a creative project, this is a perfect choice — now a star addition to my bookshelf!

This was the second book nook I ever built. I love the size as it is unique for book nooks. This was definately a fun build. I have since tried book nooks from 2 other companies and this is definately up there in quality. I would say its beginner to intermediate, nothing too crazy. in fact I think its less complex than most other nooks. Fun build, good quality.
