Love the concept but the materials were not great. This is a good project for building frustration tolerance for yourself and your kid! My 13 yr old and I struggled with it because of the lousy nails, but the instructions were clear and the wood pieces were all easy to identify. The finished product is a lot of fun.I am upgrading my rating from three stars to four stars because the company proactively reached out to me to offer a full refund, which I accepted.

These were really cute but the nails provided bent when we tried to nail them in because the wood was so hard. The only thing that worked was pre-drilling all of the holes. We didn’t have enough nails to finish the project because so many of them bent.

For those complaint about the nails have never done a Home Depot kids workshop. These nails do fine. My four year old didn’t bend a single one. He absolutely loved putting it together, and painting it even more.

I bought this for my son as a present and the candy dispenser was horrible to build. Since this is a prepackaged kit, one would assume there would be predrilled holes for the screws to be nailed into place but nope there were none. Half of the screws bent while I built the candy dispenser and I was unable to finish building it as I did not have enough nails. Additionally, since there was no predrilled holes the wood also spilt apart. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Choose another project that won’t break as you build it.
