First one I purchased was a tad too small for intended drum; my bad. It did fit another drum though, so I kept it. Second one, fit the djembe perfectly; 16†for an XL djembe (14†head, counting the ring 15â€).It’s very nice looking. The padding is adequate. The stitching and elastic are solid. Ordered a third for another drum! LOLThese are nice extra protection for the delicate and thin goatskin djembe heads. I will use one even inside the djembe travel bag. It’s also nice to have one on each djembe as they are stacked, head to head, to keep them from rubbing on each other. I would throw one of these on at a group session too, to keep the uninitiated from playing my djembe with sticks or hard objects when I step away from it; some people just don’t know better.Definitely would buy more as needed. A very nice drum cap. I ordered the 12†size and it fits fine on my 10†X8 Lava Lamp djembe (10†being the drum head playing surface, not the full diameter including ring and ropes). The padding is great and the elastic is tight enough to stay on well but not so tight that it is difficult to get on. It would be nice to be able to choose the color, but it ends up I got the black/green one, which I probably would not have chosen, but ends up matching the colors of the drum very well. This drum cap is exactly what I needed. I would definitely recommend it and may order another cap for one of my other drums.

Until I can get a gig bag for two more of my drums this will protect the head and keep non playing people from attempting to play with them. Good fit nice material well made.
