I’ve tried so many brands of needles… In the same size & type (#28 tapestry), I have Bohin, John James, random-Amazon-brand, and these. While I don’t notice a HUGE or “game-changing†difference between any of them, the DMC needles are most definitely the best to me. The eye-end is a little more flexible/prone to warping than I anticipated but the sheet smoothness of how well they glide through my Kona, how easy they are to thread, and the price makes up for it completely. I use 28 & 26 the most regularly, sometimes 24. DMC beats them all for me, they just don’t stick or squeak at ALL.

I'm doing a cross stitch on linen and these needles I found to work best. I tried a number of sizes and types and these give me the best stitches. I've bought a large number so I can keep the different colors of floss threaded and ready for when I change colors.

I use these needles for cross stitch and really like them. They are smooth and easy to thread. My only issue is that they do bend easily so if you need to frog stitches I recommend using a sturdier needle.

Super slender needle helped with finish work and squeezing through tight threads. The eye is slender also so beware trying to use larger floss with this needle.
