I use this floss for making friendship bracelets, and occasionally some visible mending on clothes. Does it's job well. The color doesn't fade from long time wear, and it's very easy to work with in knots. I was quite happy to find a bulk pack of the black online, at a better price than if I bought those same skeins from Michaels. I would love it if dmc added a pack each for ecru and white floss.

310 Black, DMC 6-Strand Embroidery Cotton FlossThis is an ongoing purchase. 310 Black is very slightly less full than other DMC cotton flosses - that's standard for DMC - but is, in all other respects, the equivalent of other DMC cotton flosses (note: not perle cotton - that's a different product). Useful for embroidery , tablet weaving, and other passementaries, DMC is colour-fast and dye-lot matched.DMC is my standard purchase for cotton embroidery thread.

I am working on a project that requires a LOT full-thickness black embroidery thread. I have already been to all the local stores, picking up 6 at a time but finding I need more. The last store had had a sale and they didn't even have any black left, so I turned to Amazon and found this - a dozen at at time and at a better price than locally. I don't know why I didn't think of this before!

My 87 year old mom decided to repair my grandmother’s blanket of fabric diamond scraps. She made these for many family members. Few survive. This one will be great again (but, sadly, not used as our dogs and cat might harm it. My mother is thrilled and she is fussy about her materials.
