I was initially a little skeptical about the fit and effectiveness of this Dog Bath Shower Cap. But, to my surprise, it is very effective because it is very adjustable. At first, I thought it might be better if one end had elastic. But the cord adjusters actually make it more adjustable and thereby fit a wider range of dogs. It fits my 55lb Lab mix and also my 20lb JackRat. The material is a thick, sturdy nylon that dries quickly.Note: I placed the cord adjusters on the top for photo purposes. The proper way to apply it would be to position them underneath the mouth/neck.

While it looks like the water is pooling on top (look closely to see the water), if you feel the inside, it feels wet after 30 seconds. The good news is that the fabric feels like a medium thick nylon, and the water doesn't fully absorb into the fabric (vs a plastic bag which would feel crinkly and hard).I didn't read the size, but this is definitely for big dog heads. Overall, I'm not sure how effective the cinching action will be in keeping the hood/headband on a wriggly dog's head. However, it might be useful for covering a small dog's middle if they have a wound there that you don't want them disturbing.

This shower cap is made for larger dogs and is to help you avoid water on/in their ears. Some pets really hate when water is in their years and this helps you avoid it. Its not fool proof and if you spray at various angles you may still get water on your pets ears but if you wash cautiously while using this it will help. The material is a nylon that reminds me of drawstring backpacks. It also is adjustable so you can tighten it around the pets head and body.

This is a nylon sleeve with a drawstring for one end. This slips over your pups head/ears while drying them. It worked well enough of my medium and large pups.

My dog absolutely does not care for water over his head and this has helped immensely.Also! It's been raining and it duos as a rain cap lolHe loves it !

Fits and works great for out pittie and our pit hound mix. One is 55lbs pounds with a beefy head as shown and the other is 70lbs with a small head lol. It tightens easily on both ends and fits snuggly. Should keep water out just fine! Plus they look cute with it on lol.

This snood would probably work better for a larger dog. We have a cocker spaniel and it was a bit too big for him. You are able to tighten both ends, but it still ended up slipping over his eyes. I think if it had elastic instead or along with the pull strings, it would have maybe worked better for him. The material was a nice water resistant material (like nylon feel) and it was easy to fit and well stitched.
