I live in an apartment and use the fake grass pad for my Malshi. I buy this pad and typically only replace it about every 4 to 6 months. Maybe more frequent in the hot summer months. Quick and easy to wash. However, to cut down on the odor, I find it best to just replace this every six months or so. The convenience of this product is Completely worth the money.

This potty patch works well for my 74 pound female pitbull, but it would be very much enhanced by a non-skid surface on the back of the tray. Or even peel and stick, rubber or bumpers, to keep it from sliding.Unfortunately, it skids across the hardwood floor when my dog exits the potty, and it alternately frightens her, and or splashes the urine that is not contained in a single pad in the tray.

It took a while, but after about a month, my dog finally realize what she was supposed to do. The pad underneath is very easy to clean. I drape mine over a stone wall and pour hot water over it and you can see it cleaning off. I bought a second pets so that when one is drying, I have another one to use.
