It doesn’t take a ton of this stuff to light up a dummy for your dogs nose. You can see the discoloration from the dirt that’s stuck to my dummy mostly because of the quail scent, so really not that bad. I’ve used this dummy probably 20 or 30 times always striping it with 3 or 4 light lines of the quail scent. My dog can pick it up pretty easily 50 or more yards down wind. He’s wild about it and loves training with it more than everything else besides real birds.

Gives off a detectable smell. I have an Australian cattle dog and he is pointing on birds during hikes. I know he had sporting dog in him but with training he's turning into a reliable flushing dog. This has helped him pay attention to his nose and he seems to pick up on the right scent when we're out now.

Placed it on a Dokken Bobwhite Quail Dead Fowl very liberally and hid it out in some tall grass. GSP was able to locate the bumper with no issues.

If I use a lot the dog can find the dummy, but my dog may also be the problem.

Not sure what I was expecting. It doesn’t smell like anything to me, only beeswax at that. And my dogs could care less two mini schnauzers.

Didn’t seem to work, but it probably more my fault than the scent.

Very difficult to spread on any training dummies, but if my wife ever mistakes it for chapstick I will update to 5 stars.
