Your cart is empty.Some dolls have harder heads and will require heat to soften or the tac method. If you do not soften harder heads while rerooting, then you run the risk of breaking needles faster.For the tac method use a thumb tac.Push tac in,prepare plug,remove tac,push in plug.The hole will expand preventing the needles from breaking.

This is a good tool, identical in design to the youtubers i watch. Just buy an extra set of needles, ones that are stronger or maybe get one for 25$ on a doll hair website.

Would give 0 stars if possible. All needles broke in a matter of minutes even with a soft headed doll and little to no force applied. To be honest these wouldn’t even be viable to use for tooth picks! Waste of time and overpriced for what you get. Four tools you have no use for and only 4-6 reroot needles (extremely brittle). Not to mention the tool you put the needles in is prone to loosen while operating and must be adjusted almost routinely in between each hair plug. And considering how long it takes to reroot a doll this product is practically useless all in all.

I got this tool to make my son's wig for Halloween. The store ones were too big to fit and the tool worked well with a white latex bald cap. I was able to work faster by using the tool provided to pre-poke through the extra layer of stocking I used to have the glue hold onto. And just using straight application the needle was strong and stood in place never getting loose while I worked. His costume was a hit and many compliments.

Rerooting doll hair has to be the hardest, most tedious thing in the world to do, but this tool makes it a little easier. My granddaughter and I have been working on a custom doll and practicing on the rerooting process on another doll. For the price, this kit has been the easiest. We haven't broken a needle yet because the holder holds it tight in place. But we probably will before it's over and good to know we have extra needles.
