This all time classic story with amazing art. What can I say. There are some books that shouldn't be compared with other popular books because they are in a class by themselves. This is one. Me encanta esa historia.

I gave it as a gift to a child whose family speaks Spanish at home. The older sister loves to read it to her younger brother. A classic published in 1963 that all children should have the opportunity to read!

For all of you who remember your childhood and would like to live it again, even if you have no children, I absolutely recommend this awesome book. The Spanish translation is very well executed, and the ilustrations are wonderful, especially if you are tired of the Disney-type books that prowl the market nowadays.Para aquellos que todavÃa recordamos nuestra niñez y nos gustarÃa revivirla, aun si no tenemos hijos, recomiendo completamente este maravilloso libro. La traducción al castellano está muy bien lograda, y las ilustraciones son fantásticas, en particular si uno está cansado de los libros estilo Disney que pululan en el mercado actual.

I like this in English, LOVE it in Spanish and deplore the French translation.The spanish moves along smoothly, neatly matching the english yet retaining enough of its own flavor so that it's not a painful literal translation of the original (see: Cat in the Hat for awful translation).The french translation is so bad I couldn't get more than a few pages in before I lost it in crankiness. Results in a very different feel/flow.

Lo trabajé en la clase de teatro, en la parte de cuentacuentos. Los niños admiraron la historia. Las ilustraciones sirvieron de guÃa para la actividad posterior que fue representar alguna escena del cuento.

I remember loving this book when I was younger, and was so glad they have the spanish version. It is a great book if you’re teaching your children spanish.

So excited to find this book in Spanish AND hardback cover. I think every child should have a copy of this book and when our friends were looking for books for their daughter growing up in a bilingual household, I knew I had to find a copy in Spanish. She is already fascinated by the art and made them read it to her repeatedly.

we got the story in 3 languages... This Spanish version is the most beautiful out of all three that we have. It's beautifully produced. The story is a classic. Highly recommend.
