How to choose the right bearing for your application?
- 2 RS - Sealed - Bearing with rubber seal on both sides. RS - Bearing with rubber seal on one side, one side open. Made of sheet steel reinforced NBR (oil- and liquid-resistant). RS provides a better seal but more rolling friction than 2Z.

These pillow blocks look nice and the casting looks good. These come with grease zerks that are not installed, so you will want to install them and fill the bearing area with a good quality grease. Be sure you rotate the bearings as you do this to be sure the grease will cover all if the bearings. It looks like a good choice for the price and should hold up if not over stressed and the grease is kept full. I don't think this was meant to be a super duper heavy duty bearing, so keep that in mind for your application. other than that it should work for years in the right applications.

Used it to mount the arbor of a rock saw. The bearings showed some play in their housing after a very short time. Had to replace them with new ones from a different brand. Maybe it is good for light applications

These bearings spin smoothly and have no rumble or roughness. The pillow blocks are cast iron and well made. Just make sure that they are bolted down on a flat surface or they will crack. That's normal and doesn't take away from the quality. Cast iron absorbs vibration and has great wearing ability. One great feature is the included grease zerks with protective plastic caps. They are included but not installed. Everything arrived in great condition and for the money it would be hard to go wrong with these bearings.
