This is a nice little brush for both long and short haired pets. My long haired cat LOVES getting brushed and doesn't even mind the mist. My double coated German Shepherd sheds constantly so I have a lot of different grooming tools to keep it under control.This is the first time I've used anything with a mist. It keeps the fur from flying off as I brush her. I love that it has a release to easily get the fur off the brush. It looks like steam but it's just mist coming out. It doesn't heat up. I have a very yeasty little terrier with skin allergies, and I used the mist on her after her medicated bath. I added water and a little apple cider vinegar to help with her issues and she loves the feel. This brush has been very useful and all my pets seem to enjoy it.

Have several cats.The oldest 15 years old has longer hair and getting dry and nappy from sitting by heater.He loved this brush.The steam helps on getting knots and matty hair looking clean...The mist comes out by handle so you don't want to point it towards their face...It does not make noise, barely hear it..Cats are very sensitive to noise too, so this is definitely a nice brush..I walked away from brushing and Kitty followed me for more brushing.This works very well.Hair comes off when press the button to release.Just need to empty out water after use.Easy to use..You just charge it ,when light is blue, means it's charged...I used it on 5 cats with on and off on mist.. Battery still appears to keep on going...Battery charge is only used when misting water out.

Mine is missing the hair release plate!! I kept pressing the big button on the back and nothing was happening, turn it over and compare to the listing, and there's no release plate to do anything.I also find the light awkward, it doesn't really shine where the brush is and with black cats, you need to brush to get past the black fur to see their skin. And even just shining straight on, it's not bright enough, I even tried in the dark. And zero reviews so far mention it, so not hopeful.As for the mist, I tried it, and the cats ran. So that's a big NOPE.Into the trash, not worth keeping it.

I don’t have hairy cats so when I comb them the brush hardly picks up any hair but swear they be leaving hair everywhere!

This is great as a gentle steamer and hair brush. It seems to keep them from itching so much. It's a very gentle brush. Not meant to replace a proper shedding brush. But works great afterward. The "steamer" is actually a cool mist, similar to a diffuser. It helps moisturize the skin, and allows the brush to hold onto the hair better, without all the static. The addition of a UV light on this device also helps to spot anything under the fur on the skin. Overall, this is a helpful device. And rechargeable, too!

I like that you can fill this brush with water to help brush and smooth out my dogs coat. It was easy to use and had good instructions. It was also easy to clean and remove the hair after brushing.
