I bought this for my sister-in-law's apartment to wrap around the inside of her door. It's really made a big difference because she had quite a bit of a gap between the door and the door frame, so a lot of cooler air was coming in and her electricity bill went up since she also has an electric peter, especially with these extremely cold days. This is definitely made a big difference, but just keep in mind that one roll I got only covered half the door, so I ended up having to get two. It's also really easy to cut into the sizes and pieces you want to wrap around the door, and attaching it to the door was really simple. Just be careful if you have to remove it because it might pull off some paint.

This comes in a roll and when unrolled, the material does not memory, staying flat for installation.I needed a new door sweep on our lanai (for those living west of the Mississippi, that’s a screened-in porch). The original one was worn to the point that the occasional bug and even a small snake managed to squeeze underneath and make their way inside the lanai.I knew installation would be a bit of a challenge, as the door sits square within the screen enclosure, but the concrete floor is sloped to shed water. That meant the sweep would have to be cut to match the slope of the concrete.Installation wasn’t bad at all. The peel-off tape exposes the “sticky” side of the adhesive. The key to getting the sweep where it belongs is to get it lined up with the bottom of the door and press it in place exactly where it needs to go. Because once in place, it doesn’t move with side pressure and the strip has to be pulled up to be repositioned or corrected. The adhesive works well and seems to have a stronger bond after a day or two. I was concerned that I would have to add some kind of mechanical reinforcement, but it isn’t necessary. Be sure to clean the surface of the door before applying. The material cuts easily with a utility knife. If you need to trim the width (I did – to accommodate the sloping concrete floor), I found the best way to maintain a straight cut is to use a long level or straight edge and run the knife blade against the edge of the level. It’s much easier with two people.Overall, this is an inexpensive replacement for a worn or damaged door sweep that is fairly easy to install and should last for years.

I installed this strip on one of my side doors to the outside that had a major draft coming in. I honestly just had a rolled up rug pushed in front of it, but that setup was a hassle in opening/closing the door, and frankly, it also looked tacky, lol. I ordered this stripping because it seemed easy enough to apply, so it felt like something that I wouldn't put off.As far as a draft blocker, it works great. Night and day difference when you put something like this on. Installation-wise, it's also very easy. You cut it to size, clean the area you want to apply, and stick it on. The stripping that I got included a couple of cleansing wipes, but they were completely dried out and desiccated when I opened them. Instead, I just cleaned the door where I was going to apply, and then used a bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad to finish up before applying. I also heated up the adhesive strip a bit with my hairdryer (as recommended in the instructions), because it is winter, and I was applying it on a pretty cold door. Sticking it on is easy, although getting it level and right in that sweet spot where it doesn't drag on the ground and cause unnecessary pulling, but also doesn't leave too much of a gap for cold air to get though, can be a little challenging. Just make sure you give the whole strip a good pressing with something hard (like a book) several times to get it to stick the best.I've had it on about a week now and deliberately waited that long before reviewing, because I've used weather stripping before that sticks for a day or two but then starts to peel off. I'm happy to say this strip is still very secure, and that's with using the door several times during the day. I ordered the 78" strip because I assumed I would have to replace it at least once before the winter is over, but I may be wrong about that! I do wish it came in a few more colors, but the selection is still pretty good, and includes a transparent option. I will definitely update my review if it peels off before it's time, but right now I'm pretty satisfied with how it looks and how well it's staying attached.

I'm currently sitting in my formerly very drafty living area during the worst cold snap my area has had in several years (it's 4° with a -17 wind chill!), and I cannot believe the difference in the temperature inside my house after applying this strip to both exterior doors. I ordered the longer length and was able to cut it easily with kitchen shears to fit two doors. It was super easy to apply, just wipe with the included cleaner and pull the adhesive protection strip before applying to the bottom edge of the doors. (The adhesive prep and rubber smell is pretty strong, but dissipated within an hour or so.) My house is older and our doors are very worn, and I was previously keeping old towels or blankets rolled up in the floor to stop the wind, which still wasn't greatly effective with kids and pets going in and out. I could instant feel the difference in air flow after applying these, and noticed throughout the first night that our central and gas heaters kicked on far less- so I expect to see a notable decrease in our utility costs! Well worth every penny! Wish I had gotten these years ago!

Setting this up was easy and simple, first you just clean the bottom of the door with the wipes they include then try your best to aim it flat! I didn't get it flat but it fine by me. The longer size was able to cover 3 of my doors, and the adhesive was strong enough to rip off some paint on my door.I have bought these type of draft stoppers before and getting the red tape off has always been a struggle, same with this brand, but not sure if that could even be improved.Good product.
