I'll first start by saying I did return the product because I didnt end up doing the project I bought them for, but wow they were such nice quality. They were large and very sturdy, and dressier than just a plain ole hook. I loved them and if I'm ever in need of a hook again I would not hesitate to purchase these again.

Bought it for my pantry door since my toddler would open it often. She now can’t open the door and reach it cause without the latch that pantry would be a mess and she would go to all the candy. Very functional

I needed this for a dog gate and it was perfect. It was easy to use and understand and I had no problem installing this. The hook is sturdy and holds up well. This is what you are looking for!

I really didn't expect much from this latch, considering the price but it's actually great. My elderly parent with dementia kept trying to open the front door so we added this latch to the top of the door. It worked great until she discovered she could just push it up with her phone or any item she could use to reach it. We've added other measures now but this latch is the 2nd level of security after the deadbolt. It's strong steel/metal, it fit on our standard door perfectly and it was very easy to install.

I was surprised that these latches were as heavy as they are. They didn't feel as cheap as I thought they would, considering how much (or how little) they cost.I needed a simple solution to allow airflow in/out of my laundry room, without my cat and kitten escaping to the rest of the house (they sleep in the laundry room at night). I was not willing to pay for a "Door Monkey" when there are far more practical solutions, like these very affordable latches, available.The door opens about 2 inches, allowing warm air to escape the laundry room and ensuring my cats do not get too hot. They can peak out into the adjoining room but can't get their heads through and risk injury. Exactly what I needed. It looks kind of tacky, but it's not like people are staring at my laundry room door all of the time, haha. I wouldn't use these locks in this fashion for a door that guests see during a typical visit. It works for my cats and that's all that matters.

The locks themselves are very sturdy. However, every single screw they gave us stripped, even after we pre-drilled. Do NOT use these screws. Buy some better ones.
