Never liked the idea of reusing manifold bolts, or studs due to the amount of high temperature cycles they go through. Had to reuse the OEM cone washers but everything else in the kit fit just fine. Use a tap to clean the the threaded holes in the cylinder head with compressed air. Install with a decent quality anti-seize during installation and everything with work out fine.

bought for my 99 cherokee 4.0 because I had to replace the original exhaust manifold due to a huge crack and the original bolts were crusty looking so ordered this kit ahead of time and the bolts and studs fit perfectly. The hardware seems to be just as beefy or slightly more than the factory hardware. Only thing is it does not come with the washers and there are parts of the kit you don't use on the 4.0

I replaced the exhaust manifold and gasket on my '97 Jeep Wrangler (2.5L 4-cylinder). Reusing the original bolts is a risk not worth taking. The likelihood of stripped or snapped bolts is way too high. Get this bolt kit and you won't regret it. It'll work for both the 4 and 6 cylinder; if you use it on the 4 cylinder you'll have a couple of leftover parts. The plastic pieces that come with it are the 'spacers' mentioned in the Jeep service manual - you put them on the studs at each end of the exhaust manifold before you put the manifold on. They keep the manifold centered.This kit doesn't come with the beveled washers, though. They're pretty pricey and you'll need 4 of them (or reuse the old ones). The quality of the bolts seem fine. They came with no instructions for how their anchor bolts assemble so i had to just make an educated guess. The only big problem i had was that the 9 other bolts didn't come with washers. I ended up having to buy washers from the local hardware store but double them up so they would reach. I couldn't use the original washers because they were old and rusted. All in all the product is worth the money i just wish they had the washers.

Worked great for my 1994 yj wrangler 2.5l with an aftermarket header. You will need to re-use the conical washers that hold the original manifold on. 2 spherical plastic spacers and 2 metal washers are not used.The metal stud already has thread lock preapplied and you will need E-torx 8(IIRC) to properly tighten the stud.Also reuse the factory conical spacers on the bolts.Fit very well and will use it again on other straight 6 jobs.

Nearly perfect set of bolts, however the beefy stock washers were missing and I needed to reuse my stock ones. Otherwise, these will work great.

I used the kit on a 2.5L Dakota, as suggested. I had to reuse the old washers. The plastic retainers are for positioning the outside exhaust manifold bolts on 2.5L Dakotas and Wranglers.

Nice to get most of the new hardware in oneKit, a lot cheaper than what the dealer wanted or the local parts store. Only complaint I have is that the kit didn’t include the special retaining washers.

Bolt up kit was delivered as advertised but one nut was defective. It was over dimpled by the machining process and it was ovalled. The nut only went on 3/4 of the nut thickness before it met torque. A full 1/2†before it met the manifold.Luckily I could reuse the old nut.Also, this kit doesn’t come with washers. Not a big deal but shiny manifold, shiny bolts and rusty washers….I wish I would’ve realized that before the tear down.I’ve bought a lot of dorman products over the years and this was the first hiccup.

Dorman products have been consistently good quality, and comparatively inexpensive. These are for a direct replacement of the Jeep TJ 4.0l engine I am slowly upgrading and seem to be OEM quality. Based on my experience Dorman parts have been a reliable and economical source of parts and, as such, I can recommend them.
