I’ve purchased three different boxes of water pump stud kits for my 86 C10 and every single of of them has had the threading basically backwards. The longer part would go into the pump and you’d try to attach the fan to the shorter ones, which wouldn’t work. After doing some digging, I came across these. They work perfect with the ACDelco Professional 292-595 water pump for a small block Chevy to attach the fan to the pump.

Excellent carb mounting studs that are very reasonably priced. Perfect length to mount Edelbrock 650 AVS carburetor to Edelbrock performer intake on SBC 350. They are 1.5 inches long. You will need the longer studs if you plan on using an insulator or spacer on your installation.

These are long enough to work on this application, but as stated by someone else on here, the 5/16-18 threads are the long side that screws into the intake and the short side threads, 5/16-24 threads are on top. It should be the other way around. Keep that in mind.
