Doesn’t come with gasket and fits very loose as such.The odds of loosing the cap but not the gasket as well are almost zero. Useless.

cap fits "ok" but does not include the seal....Brake fluid is hygroscopic and the seal is absolutely critical. Do you think we lose our cap but not our seal ?After receiving cap I thought it didnt fit but it was just loose as hell because no seal. Dorman makes you buy the seal separately for $10.00+ . I tried to order seal through amazon but seal was unavailable.Seal is cheaply made and not marked " USE DOT #,4,5 fluid from sealed container" . So not a good cap for younger drivers or you mechanics at shops who may accidentally add wrong brake fluid type.Even I will have to consult my owners manual to confirm which fluid goes in this vehicle. will probably end up scribing cap and or marking w paint pen what fluid type. Glad Dorman didnt go to the trouble?!?Will this keep rain and dirt out of your master cylinder on you 2006 Duramax Silverado, yes.... if you buy a seal too.If I had to do again I would just save the time and hastle and go to dealer 1 time.

Received cap and tried it on my vehicle 2008 Cadillac DTS and was very loose. Took it off and found that the rubber gasket did not come with the cap. If the gasket came with it it would have been seated inside the lip of the cap so it didn’t just fall off. Was not in the see through packaging. Have to get rubber to make a gasket that will fit to hold the cap on and keep the brake fluid from leaking out of the master cylinder reservoir. Cap is no use without the gasket,
