I needed to replace the release trunk lid system in my '74 Bug. The original design is - to say it kindly - a complete failure of guys who came up with Mercedes, BMW and Porsche.... :)This semi-rigid cable was perfect because it can be adjusted to proper length. First I removed the inside wire and routed the outside sleeve in gentle curves, then trimmed to right length, sprayed some lube in and then reinserted the wire and trimmed that accordingly."+" it is solid"-" it is coiled to tight when shipped - so it took some "gymnastics" to relax it and straighten it so it moves with less frictionCant beat the price for how solid it is
