Exactly the fix to get my 2004 Ford F150 with Center Shifter back on the road. The original part wore out and gave me the dreaded shift lock issue. I've never had an problem using Dorman replacement parts so i was confident this would work. YouTube has many videos on how to quickly replace this part. Great price and an easy 30 minute job for a non-auto mechanic guy like me which probably saved me Hundreds$$$ from a repair shop doing it in 15 minutes. This even got my cruise control working again!

Standard dorman part, the box says reman but it works fine so far. would recommend.

Shifter would shift out of park. I had also noticed long before that the cruise control stopped working. This one part fixed both issues. The dealer charges several hundred dollars each for these fixes and often replaces entire shifter assembly vs this one little part. This part also comes with new zip ties and holders so dont worry about saving the factory ties and holders. The factory plug clip on passengers side of shifter slides (hard) towards the back of the vehicle but does simply slide off and this new slides back on.

This is an exact fit for the original. I my cruise control had been out for over a year, I replaced this part since the other one had failed. Works perfectly now!

Fixed the issue thus far and fit great. A bit pricey for what it is but not compared to oem. Im cool with it.

was working on something else on the old 2006 truck and suddenly, I could not shift out of park! What the heck? What did I break? Well, nothing. This part breaks on its own after a few hundred thousand miles. This doohickey is like 370 bucks from Frod (Ford) so, this was the nice price and available. Ford said it would be 3 weeks! In the end, I had to disassemble the whole mechanism, wipe down some gunk, remove some small burrs from the shifter, then install the new part... now it slides into gear smooth smooth smooth! Winner!

So much money for something made of plastic. Amazon price was the best option. Kind of a bear to install. My 3 star review is just based on cost.

Replaced this on a ‘05 F-150. Wiring, location tabs, all like the original. The box it was shipped in said it was a reconditioned part but as the local Ford dealer said there were over 200 backorders at about 4 times the price and since I’ve never had any problems with Dorman products this was the best part at the best price.
