Passenger door window had not worked in 5 years. Once the drivers side quit working, I decided to buy both. Now Im mad that I waited so long because once I replaced them both, they worked fine. I own a 2004 Town & Country Touring and it fit just fine. My window has work maybe 6 times in the last five years. When the button was pushed, it did not make a sound, however the lights in the cab would dim as if it was putting power to something. Anyway, it fixed it. Great Buy. Check out glhomebuyers.com

Back in May, 2014, the passenger window stuck with the window open. I removed the inner door panel and "rapped the motor" with a screwdriver handle, (I knew this is a quick but highly temporary fix if the brushes in the motor are jammed in some way), and the motor started working and has worked for about 3 months. I ordered the replacement motor May 28th, so when it did die again, I would have it. This week, Aug 25th, the window got stuck again in the open position. (Why do electric windows always get stuck with the window open ? If closed you could live with it for days or weeks, but open you have to do something to secure your vehicle.)I now had the part in hand, opened the inner door panel again and preceeded to replace the motor. The original white plastic rivets seem just impossible to remove, so I drilled and broke them out, and used the new ones thoughtfully supplied by Dorman with the motor. Total repair time was about 30 minutes, with some of that time looking for an 8mm socket, which is not part of my name brand metric ratchet socket set. The socket is needed to remove the window regulator assembly from the motor. "You tube" videos talk about taping or securing the window from falling when the window is in the up position, but if you can rap the motor, like I did, you might be able to electrically lower the window, then replace the motor without having to tape the window up. If you cannot open the window completely, you do have to tape it up to prevent if from dropping quickly when you remove the regulator from the motor and damaging the window.Troubleshooting tip: After you open the inner door panel, you can remove the power connector from the motor, and use a meter, or test lamp or even the new motor to verify power is getting to it before you go to the trouble of removing the old motor. The window switch has to be connected to the cable harness ! This would have saved J.W. some time and effort as his issue seemed the same, but it was the actual window switch that was causing his issue.
