Great product and also a great value. Working like a charm. While Amazon garage says this won't work with a 94-98 Ford Ranger, it does work quite well and Ford has discontinued the actual replacement handle. You simply need to slowly drill the rod opening slightly. It then snuggly slides onto the break release rod. It also isn't too wide to fit the current break release well. It worked so well, I didn't even have to use any glue for it to stay firmly attached. However, you need to drill it slowly and only remove a lil of the plastic.

Drill out with a 15/64 drill bit and then use glue and press on to the threads. Fit perfectly on my 1997 Ford Ranger XLT

Worked well on my 96 Ford Ranger. I had to slightly modify it by drilling out the hole but works great for less than $3!

The handles wouldn’t fit my truck. The handles were threaded, and my truck dosen’t have threads .

If you're trying to restore your e-brake on your classic, know this handle is a "slip fit". I wound up tapping it for a 1/4 coarse thread which matched my e-brake rod. Otherwise, you have to glue it.Also note that it feels quite "cheap". Squishy almost. For $9 you'd think a thicker, more robust piece of plastic is coming your way, but no.

My original had loosened up far too much on my Scout II. Would pull off when releasing. This one fit great, filled with Gorilla Gel super glue and then hammered it onto the rod. It's solid!
