Heavy duty fitting that I have used many times to mend a leaky brake line. Cut the line where it's clean and not rusty, swage the end to lines you need to join and Tighten this fitting on. * This is NO SUBSTITUTE for a new Line * however, if the situation warrants it, then go ahead and feel comfortable using this Heavy Duty Steel fitting. When Possible, replace the whole brake line however, this will make a permanent repair. If you install it and it doesn't leak, it never will. Great product because it is STEEL and Not Copper. Copper can and will burst, now you have a completely different issue! Be smart - Fix it Right.

If you have to splice 3/16 hydraulic tubing (such as brake lines on a car), these are MUCH better than the brass versions which can have a very low pressure rating (depending on where you look, the pressure rating of the brass fittings varies, but is often reported to be as low as 400 psi).

I used one of these to repair a brake line, although they cannot legally say it is for that. It is definitely designed to handle more than enough brake pressure which ranges from 800 to 2000 psi. Rated at 5000 psi, this is completely safe. It is made out of steel rather than the usual brass, so it’s a lot stronger. It is slightly lower profile than standard brass fittings as well..

Easy to repair the broken line. Fixed the leak. Better than spending more for a new line. Good value.

I ran over a root coming out of a creek while checking fence lies and ripped the brake line off my front brakes on my off-road truck. I didn't notice it until I was at my pasture gate. I found one at a local auto supply store. It worked great. I bought this one and the next size up as a backup. Saved a lot of time and money.

Had a leaking brake line, car was "bricked". I know the packing said not to use for hydraulic brake lines, but they did the job as a temporary fix so I could get them properly done.

this item was a bust for me. I tried to use it on a brake line as a temporary fix but it just leaked anyway. wasnt able to get it tight enough to get me to the garage. the seller was good to deal with but as the product had been installed I wasn't able to get a refund,, Oh well my bad
