The old bump stops/suspension bumpers/control arm bumpers/whatever you call these were completely worn out and destroyed on my 1999 GMC Sierra 2500. These were cake to install and made a noticeable difference in ride quality and the feel of my front suspension. The front end of the truck now rolls less in turns and feels fantastic compared to how it was.Fitment was perfect, no modification was necessary. I just jacked up the truck and put it on jack stands (ALWAYS use jack stands), took the wheels off and with a ratchet, an extension, a wobble adapter and what I think was a 15mm socket, unscrewed the one nut that holds them on and swapped them out.If you have a 99-07 or so GM truck with even a reasonable amount of miles on it (mine had 200K), replace these. They're cheap and you'll be glad you did it.

They are of good quality. New nuts to replace the old ones make it great.

Ride quality on my 109k mi. 1998 Tahoe had deteriorated quite a bit. Truck is otherwise in great shape both mechanically and cosmetically, so it is worth spending some time and money to figure out some of those annoying "little things". Harshness over moderate bumps, unusual feedback through the steering and occasional "dolphining" after hitting speed bumps were not how I recalled this truck behaving (original owner). New shocks helped some, but the ride quality was just not what it once was. Then I remembered these two little lumps of polyurethane wedged between the lower control arm and frame. The fact that OE service information calls them "auxiliary springs" should give a clue as to how important they are. Mine were completely deteriorated with only the metal backing plate remaining. Thanks to Dorman and Amazon I have two new front "auxiliary springs" and a 25 year old Tahoe with VASTLY improved ride quality! Rears are next! These are identical to the OEM bumpers and have a rounded profile to contact the control arm, as opposed to some others out there which have a more pointed, triangular contact profile. Only complaint would be for the price, they could at least toss in a couple of torque prevailing nuts! Fortunately mine weren't corroded and were easily reused. 10 minutes to remove old and install new on both sides.I'll update this review with thoughts on durability at some point in the future.

Dorman should advise that this item doesn't come in pairs. Who buys only one?The product seems to be good (based on others reviews) I can't install yet awaiting for a second one.

Fits perfectly on my 2008 duramax. Mine were beyond gone. These definitely helped smooth out my ride. Easy and fast to install took about 10 mins. Per sides to be done. Jack up the vehicle remove the 15mm bolt put new bumper in and secure. Worth the money.

I previously bought these parts OEM for one of my vehicles. Decided to try Dorman's brand. Other than a different color the parts were the same and less expensive. Easy to install just take the front wheel off and it can be removed by one nut. The nut is metric and does not come with the new part.

Super easy to install and makes a world of difference in ride quality. Takes maybe 5 minutes per side. Just turn the wheel, jack it up, replace it, drop it back down, repeat on the other side.

Stopped a clunking noise from my front end and really does make a difference in the ride as well as stops your shocks from bottoming out. 2003 Suburban 2500 4x4. Couldn't get Moogs to fit.
