Installed in 15 minutes, cleared egr code with my reader, and light hasn't come back on. Acceleration feels better. Recommend

I installed this maybe 1,000 miles ago now. I’ve had no issues so far, and honestly it looks and acts just like the OEM part I swapped it with. After cleaning my intake manifold thoroughly, (shiny metal inside and out) and the channel between the EGR valve and the manifold, I decided it would be best to replace the 22 year old valve rather than try and clean it. So far, no issues.

This part is substantially more rugged than I expected. I am not a driveway mechanic. I had the engine light on plus the something else. Car hesitated greatly when accelerator pushed. Two bolts and an electrical connection and this device is in. The hardest thing was trying to figure out what size socket I needed. (12mm with an extension to your ratchet)

The part fits very well and looks just like the OEM. After installing it, it worked for around an hour (I used an OBD2 adapter and the Torque app to verify), but then suddenly it got stuck and I got a check engine light. I don't know if it was a defective item or just bad quality in general, but I decided to return it and use my old original one which is not perfect but works better than this one.

My Honda Pilot is 18 year old now and I decided to replace the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve because of rough idling and bad fuel consumption. Installation was pretty easy and it worked like new again.Very happy with the part from Dorman and I highly recommend it.

Fit our van (Toyota Odyssey) but quickly our check engine light went on again. Went and took our van back to our mechanic and he said the Pintal valve was stuck open.Unable to return as we are 1 day late on the return. Item only in our van for 3 weeks. 🤦ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸
