She hasn't gotten to use it yet but I got this for my best friend. She was super happy with the quality and fast shipping!

It’s a great and cheap option for anyone wanting to do their own bookbinding.

This book press has multiple layers (2 to be exact) which is incredibly convenient. I can easily press multiple books at once without the headache of having two pressing going. The quality of the good is good and it’s treated so you don’t have to worry about it staining pages or anything of that sort. The biggest detractor is I wish there was simple instructions and guidance on how to use the press. As someone newer to the space, I bumbled along with what is a mostly self-explanatory tool but it never hurts to include a one-pager or few-page instruction booklet.

I've been learning to bind my own books, but until now didn't have anything to use as a press. For the most part that wasn't a problem, but I really wanted to try a press too. This can also work to press flowers, which I've never done, but I found a couple cute specimens to press and gave it a try. All worked out wonderfully, and now I have more options for binding.

Double Book Press, Wooden Bamboo Flower Press Machine, Portable Book Binding Kits for Handmade Bookbinding, Manual Paper Press (11.6 x 7.9 Inch - 3 Floor)the usefull size is 8.5x5 and about 1 inch thick per shelf. based on the pics it looked like they had a stack of copy paper. its itnt nearly that big. also, the holes are a bit snug so the shelves dont slide easily. they will need to be drilled out a bit. also, base shelf has a washer and nut so the narrowest you can do is about 5/16" thick. so pressing flowers seems like it would be ackward without using a spacer board. level 2 has a wing nut and washer so maybe 3/4" minimum press distance.i got this to re-bind books that i am digitizing. i cut the spine off with a bandsaw. run the pages thru a scanner then reglue the spine back on to the pages. i have a large arbor press i have been using to compress the pages, i had hope this could take its place but its small foot print and limited height per level make it a very specific use case type item.

Good quality and easy use for beginners. There were no assembly instructions included, but looking at the pictures online, I was able to assemble this fairly easily.

I've been testing this out with a couple older books that warped in storage, just to see if the press could help straighten them. As you might expect, it's tough to fully repair this kind of damage, especially in paperbacks, but I've been pretty pleased with what the press has done for them in a relatively short period of time. It seems like a well-made tool: heavy, level, and fully adjustable.
