Got it quick. Gave it to my grandson and loves it. Not heavy duty but works well enough for a 5 year old to be occupied!

Purchased this for my 7yr old grandson. I always open his gifts and charge the batteries and ensure it works. Then re-wrap it. Good construction even if plastic. Controller does not come with batteries (2xAA). It is advertised to be 4 wheel drive. It is not. It only drives from one rear axle. It does not have any of the advertised sounds other than the electric motors that drive the truck. It 'paired' instantly. My biggest issue is that it drives way to fast to be a 'realistic Dump Truck'. You don't buy a dump truck to race, haha. To slow it down you have to flick the drive toggle on and off repeatedly. They obviously just put the race car drive train in this truck. After Christmas I may investigate installing a resister to slow it down? I originally ordered the 1:20 scale version but it Amazon substituted the 1:26 (smaller) version without notice. My grandson will never notice any of this and he will love it. I just wanted to set the record straight comparing what is advertised vs what you get. Waiting on the excavator to arrive. Will write review of that later.

I was originally conflicted by the reviews for this toy regarding its quality and battery life. I took a chance on it, especially because it seemed to do more than the other toys in its group. I charged the excavator battery for 8hrs on Christmas Eve. I put in new batteries in the remote that day, as well. My kids played with it/had it on maybe 30min Christmas Day and it's been on anywhere from 15 to 20 min most days since then. I haven't had to recharge it yet. It's now Jan 3 and it's still going on the original charge.I purchased this for my 3yr old. He plays with it on (as I mentioned) but he also plays with it even if it's off. With some help he figured out the remote quickly. There is a button to turn off the sounds (as a parent, thank you for that). Any kid like mine that is obsessed with buttons, making things move, and loves earth moving vehicles this is a perfect gift. And even if it's off it's fun and functional. It seems well made.

Mack Cement Mixer Truck is way smaller than the picture portrays online. The mixer truck is only about 6 inches high and maybe 12 inches long. Not even close to what the picture of 2 boys playing with the trucks shows. Too small. Very disappointing.
