3M VHB Heavy duty double sided foam tape

This heavy-duty two-sided tape can be used for a wide array of projects. Mount bathroom fixtures in your home, add signage to the exterior of a commercial building or deck-out your car with the flashiest LED lights. It adheres firmly in minutes and becomes 100% bonded within 72 hours. Because it is particularly capable of providing a smooth, quiet and durable ride on the open road, it is the preferred 3M automotive double sided tape for specialty vehicles.
Application Guidelines :
✔ 25% strength of bond in 30 minutes, 50% strength of bond in 60 minutes, 75% strength of bond in 12 hours, and 100% strength of bond after 24 hours.
✔Double sided tape is black. Length 36FT, width 0.04 inches, Package Quantity: 1 roll
Application Guide:
· Surface Cleaning: Quick pre-clean of tough spots if necessary. Wet cloth to remove most contaminants. Final wipe with dry cloth.
· Priming the Surface: Primer on a disposable towel, followed by a dry towel. Dauber bottle followed by a dry towel. Foam brush.
· Abrading Your Substrate: Light abrasion by hand. Clean the substrate after abrading to make sure all sanding debris is removed from the bond area.
· Tape Application by Hand: Start the tape at the edge of the surface and lay it down, applying constant pressure as you go. Apply a roll down force of at least 15 lbs with a dense J-roller over the entire area to ensure good contact between the tape and the first substrate surface. Remove the protective liner to apply the other substrate.
· Applying Final Pressure: Applying pressure to the applied tape facilitates optimal wet-out onto the substrate.

This is some heavy duty double stick tape. My only complaint, besides the price, is that it is very difficult to remove the backing. If you’re cutting small pieces you’ve handled it so much trying to get the backing off that one side is no longer sticky. I recommend cutting off one large piece and pulling the backing off of it and then cutting it into smaller pieces. Works good.

I was pleasantly surprised by how strong this double-sided tape is! It sticks securely to a variety of surfaces, and I haven't had any issues with things falling off. Easy to use, durable, and a great value—highly recommend!

Super sticky and extremely flexable tape. Took this with us to a cosplay event as an emergency repair tool. It was absolutely essential to repair both a face mask that kept slipping as well as a cape that got caught in the crowd and needed repair.Saved the day twice over!

I have a towel roll holder that I'd like to mount next to my garage sink. The wall is smooth stucco, so I'd rather not drill into it with screws and anchors. I tried mounting with velco, but the holder fell off after about 12 hours. I bought this Double Sided tape and mounted the holder and although it stayed on the wall for a few days, the holder eventually also fell off the wall. I'm a bit disappointed.The tape probably works better with lighter items, like posters and papers, etc. It's very easy to work with, cuts easily, and is easy to remove and remount, but it didn't work for my application. Perhaps it would work better on a smoother surface, like painted drywall. I think it would very effective to prevent sliding on a surface, such as for a vase on a table.

As ADT contractor we use this tape to install security sensors on doors and windows. Holds 4-5 years.
