Your cart is empty.The original Doug's Headers has announced a new and improved version of their popular all stainless steel construction electric exhaust cut-outs in 2 1/2 inch and 3 inch diameters. The engineers at Doug's have taken their famous electric exhaust cut-outs and dramatically decreased the size for more versatile installations while lowering the price as well. These cut-outs feature a rugged gear reduction 12 volt DC motor and a rotating gate for a leak proof seal every time the cut-out is opened and closed. Unlike butterfly style cut-outs the Doug's cut-outs don't have the leaky gasket sound and when fully opened there is no exhaust flow obstructions. A pre-wired harness with an illuminated rocker switch is supplied for easy installation. Un-cork your exhaust with the flip of a switch from you dash. The cut -outs are ideal for race tracks that don't require mufflers. These Doug's cut-outs are available in singles or pairs and in complete kits with Y-Pipes for easy installation.

Have this on my Chev pick-up. Left original stock exhaust on and installed a y pipe with loud muffler and welded around the factory muffler. Switch is closed it sounds stock, opened it rumbles! Great when leaving neighborhood at four in morning for work. Then growles on the street.

After doing some rough measurements on my car, I ordered this product along with a y-pipe so I could install it on my 2013 Subaru WRX STi. First thing I noticed when it arrived was the excellent build quality of the cutout. The motor is sealed well, welds are very clean, everything is aligned nicely, and the gate housing feels very solid. The electrical harness was just as nice, with all connections and wiring protected, and the switch has a great tactile feedback ("click") when pressed. However, the cutout comes with a sticker on it, reading something I wish I knew before ordering: "Welding on cutout voids warranty". Due to issues squeezing this into a hatchback exhaust system (the cutout is about 7 inches long, and the gate housing (oval) is about 8 inches long and 5 inches wide), welding would have been necessary to make it fit, so I decided to return it instead.In short, I did not operate or install the cutout, but from close visual inspection and handling (in conjunction with many hours of research I did before buying this cutout) I can guess that this cutout is the best you can get IF you can make it fit. That being said, this is probably going to fit only on trucks or vehicles with lots of space underneath. I was willing to stake my money that this was the best e-cutout out there, and I'll stand beside that. Shame I can't make use of it.

I hooked it up and did 2-3 open close sequences and the door stopped moving. I can hear the motor spin open and closed, but the door doesn't move. Amazon shipped out a free replacement wicked fast and it seemed to work. I've had it on my Raptor about 2 weeks and absolutely love it!Today, the door stopped moving...again, even though the motor sounds to be working properly. I've contacted the company to see if there is something I'm missing....I'll keep you updated and change my rating if I get a good answer from them.

Had it on for two weeks before it completely stopped opening. Worked great when it did. But the motor is too weak. I disassembled it to check it out. There is a t at the end of the motor and the door has a slot for it. Around the exit port the are spring loaded ball bearings that the door slides on. I can see scratches on both sides of the door where it gets stick. Can't tell if the bearings are too strong for the door our the motor isn't strong enough.

Dont cheap out on inferior cutouts.. I did at first and the thing leaked like crazy... This one seems to be doing great so far no leaks
